Tottenham and Arsenal have been informed that a winger they showed interest in during the summer transfer window could be on the market soon.

The left-wing role has been a problem area for Spurs, with Wilson Odobert and new signing Xavi Simons struggling to produce the goods.

It has now emerged that in order to solve that problem, Tottenham could turn to a Brazilian star they showed an interest in during the summer.

It was widely reported in the summer transfer window that Spurs had expressed an interest in Real Madrid star Rodrygo.

In fact, some outlets even named Tottenham had expressed a willingness to bid for the £70m-rated Los Blancos star, but nothing concrete materialised, with the player deciding to stay put at the Spanish capital.

The 24-year-old has struggled for game time at the Santiago Bernabeu this season, and it is now being reported by TBR Football that he is considering his future at the club.

The outlet claims that while Xabi Alonso is happy to keep Rodrygo at the club, he has little intention of giving him a more important role within the squad.
