Cristhian Mosquera has enjoyed a stunning start to life at Arsenal. The Spanish defender kicked off his Gunners career in the relatively stress-free final stages of our 5-0 win over Leeds United in our first home game of the season. We were already 4-0 up when the 21-year-old was introduced to the action for the final 25 minutes or so. His next experience was a real early test of his mettle though.

He replaced the injured William Saliba just five minutes into our meeting with champions Liverpool away at Anfield, and although we didn’t end up with the points that day, Cristhian earned plenty of plaudits for his display alongside Gabriel at the heart of the defence.
