Many of our Men’s, Women’s and Academy players have been sent out on loan this season to gain experience and taste further action.
Reiss Nelson opened his Brentford account with a goal and an assist on Tuesday night, as the Bees joined us in the Carabao Cup quarter-final draw with a 5-0 win at Grimsby Town. Following Reiss’ full debut, the forward told BBC Sport: “I’ve been working in the background, so I was delighted to start and get a nice assist and a nice goal - it’s about moving forward from here.” Reiss also played 16 minutes in Brentford’s Premier League defeat at Crystal Palace on Saturday.
