Sam Kerr is getting back into the swing of things following almost two years out through injury.

She has reclaimed the captain’s armband for Australia – and she’s back on the scoresheet for Chelsea.

She scored the Blues’ second in added time against London City Lionesses on Sunday, making that 101 goals for the club.

And she is already thinking about their next opponent – London rivals Arsenal, whom they face at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, 8th November.

“It’s always tough to go to the Emirates,” she told the club’s official website. “Arsenal are a good team and we have a lot of respect for them.

“Like I said, it’s a London derby, so we’ll always be up for it. The girls have had really good results against them in the last few games, so hopefully we can continue that.”

And Kerr brushed off the suggestion that Chelsea are currently under-performing – pointing to their unbeaten record so far this season.

“It’s only the start of the season, but I think the girls are playing well; we’ve not dropped many points.
