Liverpool women's star Mia Enderby was rushed to hospital after suffering a suspected serious injury during her side's clash with Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon. 

The forward appeared to land on her neck after competing for a header with just 10 minutes of the match to go at Leyton Orient's Brisbane Road. 

She stayed down for some 15 minutes before leaving the pitch on a stretcher and being taken to hospital in an ambulance for further checks.

While it's not yet clear exactly what injury Enderby suffered, Liverpool boss Gareth Taylor expressed his concern post-match. 

'It's obviously not nice to see her stretchered off. I haven't had the chance to speak to Mia,' he said. 

'I think she has gone to hospital in an ambulance. At one point I thought she was going to re-enter in terms of get back up and start playing again but those types of injuries are really crucial that we take care of them.'
