Gary Neville reckons Liverpool are the only team that can stop Arsenal from winning the Premier League this season. After five consecutive defeats in the English top-flight, Arne Slot's side finally ended their losing streak at the weekend - though they still trail the Gunners by seven points.

While it may appear to be an intimidating challenge, clubs have recovered from much larger deficits in the past. Manchester City came back from eight-point deficits after 28 games in 2022/23 and 17 games in 2023/24 to win the Premier League.

The most remarkable comeback, however, saw Arsenal overturn Manchester United's 13-point advantage after 19 games during the 1997/98 campaign to secure the title. Speaking on NBC Sports, Neville offered his thoughts on the title race.
