Liverpool women's star Mia Enderby was rushed to hospital with a suspected neck injury following an incident during her side's defeat at Tottenham, with the match halted for over 10 minutes. Enderby appeared to fall awkwardly on her neck whilst challenging for an aerial ball and, following extensive treatment, was stretchered off the pitch.

The prolonged stoppage resulted in 22 minutes of added time at the end of the fixture. The 20-year-old had featured in all six of Liverpool's Women's Super League matches this campaign and was named in the starting eleven against Spurs. Speaking afterwards, manager Gareth Taylor revealed he had yet to consult with the club's medical team, but described the injury as "not nice to see".

He also stated: "Hopefully she is OK. At one point I thought she was going to re-enter in terms of getting back up and start to play again but with those types of injuries it's really crucial we take care of them."

Tottenham managed to overturn their deficit to secure all three points through strikes from Toko Koga and Bethany England. Liverpool had opened the scoring through Beata Olsson's effort.
