Jesse Marsch reckons that Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister is one of the most underrated players in the world.

The Argentinian has been a regular starter for Arne Slot since he took over from Jurgen Klopp, with the former Brighton man really coming out of his shell last season.

He managed to form a solid trio with Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai, which helped Liverpool win the Premier League title.

Saturday’s game against Aston Villa was certainly a step in the right direction for Liverpool, and as long as players such as Mac Allister keep plugging away and proving their worth, everything should start to fall into place.
