Tottenham set a record during their 1-0 defeat to Chelsea, and it is one that will make Thomas Frank squirm.

According to OptaJoe, Tottenham Hotspur registered a shocking xG of just 0.05 against the Blues after mustering just one shot on target through the 90 minutes.

That is the worst xG Spurs have ever registered since the stat has been recorded at the start of the 2012-13 season. During those 12 years, Tottenham have played 504 Premier League matches.

The data thus suggests that Saturday’s game is the least attacking threat Tottenham have offered in over 500 Premier League games, which does not make for pretty reading for Frank.
