New Rangers boss Danny Röhl has enjoyed an evening at a popular Glasgow restaurant.

The German manager arrived earlier this month to replace Russell Martin, the shortest-serving manager in the history of Rangers Football Club.

Röhl, formerly of Sheffield Wednesday, was pictured posing up with staff at Caprese Don Costanzo on Woodside Crescent.

Sharing a picture of a smiling Röhl with staff, the restaurant wrote: “Was so nice to have the pleasure of hosting new Rangers manager Danny Röhl last night.

“Always good to see new faces.”

The Charing Cross restaurant is popular with footballers and Old Firm legends, with Celtic Brendan Rodgers visiting in August, Rangers, Liverpool and Scotland hero Graeme Souness dining there in November 2024, and the likes of Ange Postecoglou and Ally McCoist enjoying nights at the Italian.

Röhl has had a fair start to life with the Light Blues, with Rangers beating Kilmarnock at home and Hibernian away. Next, the 36-year-old manager takes his side to Hampden to face Martin O’Neil’s Celtic after the veteran Hoops boss’s return.

Glasgow’s Old Firm sides meet in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final on Sunday (November 2).
