Norwich City striker Josh Sargent says he has no plans to leave when the transfer window reopens in January, despite the club struggling in the Championship.

Sargent was linked with a move to German side VfL Wolfsburg in the summer but the American chose to reject the offer and stay in Norfolk.

However, while Sargent has scored five times across the Canaries' opening four Championship matches, he has not found the net since and subsequently missed out on a call-up for the United States.

"I don't have any plans of leaving at the moment, I'm very happy here," Sargent told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"I know it's been a bit of a rough patch for the club, but I'm fully focused on turning it around and doing my best for this club. I stayed for a reason.

"Of course, being in the World Cup squad would be a massive achievement again and I'm going to keep working hard and do everything I can to try and make that squad."

Norwich are currently 23rd in the table after five successive league losses, two points below Blackburn Rovers in 21st.
