Norwich fans set off flares outside the directors’ entrance at Carrow Road in protest after their side suffered a sixth straight defeat.

The Canaries were beaten 2-0 at home by Hull, with supporters calling on head coach Liam Manning and sporting director Ben Knapper to be sacked both during and after the match.

Goals from Joe Gelhardt and Darko Gyabi condemned the East Anglian side to a seventh home loss in a row.

Defeat leaves Norwich second from bottom in the Championship, and it came amid an increasingly toxic atmosphere at Carrow Road.

The protests began before a ball was even kicked, with hundreds of fans gathering outside the ground to express their opposition to the club's plans to redevelop their home stadium.

While the club have since put the proposal on hold, supporters were still unhappy with the idea, which would have involved moving 3,000 season ticket holders to new seats.
