Under-fire Norwich City boss Liam Manning said sorry to the fans for making a sharp exit down the players' tunnel after the Canaries' sixth straight loss.

Manning faced calls for his head from some fans at Carrow Road during the 2-0 defeat by Hull City and admitted he should not have disappeared at the final whistle.

He told BBC Radio Norfolk: "I apologise to the fans for that, it's not good from me.

"I'm hurting, it's not the right thing to do and I apologise to everyone for that.

"It's the same message, you keep fighting.

"Clearly there's a lot that needs to change. We have to look in-house and change."

Norwich wasted chances to score before Joe Gelhardt gave Hull the lead early in the second half and Manning said he is "tired of saying the same things".

"Ultimately you're tired of saying the same things, I'm scratching my head," he added.

"I reflect on my performance first and you look at the first half and you have to be ahead.
