Boubakary Soumare is the frontrunner to come in for Aaron Ramsey in the Leicester City starting line-up this weekend.

City boss Marti Cifuentes will likely have to find a replacement for Ramsey when his side face Blackburn with the on-loan midfielder feeling a “pop” in his hamstring in the defeat at Millwall.

Details around the severity of Ramsey’s potential injury won’t be revealed until Friday’s press conference but it’s very unlikely that he will feature at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

When Ramsey was rested for the midweek loss at Hull, Soumare came in to the side, and so the Frenchman is perhaps at the forefront of Cifuentes’ mind to start against Rovers.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid would be the favourite to start if he was fit, but the Jamaican is recovering from his own hamstring issue.

Cifuentes could drop Jordan Ayew back and play Patson Daka or Julian Carranza up front, but that feels like a tactic he will turn to later in the game if City...
