Rodgers spoke at the press conference after the game today, and he pointed out a simple, unarguable fact: we’re nine games into the league campaign.

Nine. It’s far too early to talk about writing off a season or acting like things are already slipping out of our grasp. Yes, there are problems. Big ones. But until people start looking at where those problems really come from, we’ll never fix them.

“Sack Rodgers” has become the mantra. It’s easy to chant, but let’s be honest — the reason it sounds like a good idea to some is that it shifts responsibility for changing the season’s trajectory from us to the board.

That’s why it feels like a neat solution: it’s simplistic. But if you believe this board is incompetent and shouldn’t be trusted to hire the next manager, why on earth would you want to hand them that power now, when the season can still be saved?

Let’s get real. All I’m asking people to do is get real. Be honest.
