Over the past few days, AS Roma have been linked with a move for Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee.

Gazzetta dello Sport reported the Dutchman is at the top of the Italian club’s shortlist. Roma’s move depends on their FFP situation. Now, interest from AC Milan is also emerging.

MilanLive explain the Rossoneri tried to sign Zirkzee before he joined Manchester United in 2024. There is now belief that the forward can depart Old Trafford at a discount price in January.

Manchester United are said to be considering loaning out Zirkzee, ahead of a sale. They are looking to earn €35m and are open to an initial loan to let the Dutchman depart.

Milan are looking for a discount, though. A deal will only take off if the Red Devils offer that, with the Italian side moving for proven options upfront.

It is clear that Zirkzee still has a big market in Serie A. Juventus have also been keen, whilst Napoli were linked in recent months months.

A loan plus a €35m option, and potentially even less, doesn’t appear to be an amazing deal for Manchester United.
