Former England international Joe Cole agreed with Paul Scholes that Sandro Tonali is currently the best midfielder in the Premier League but faces competition from one teammate in particular. The Newcastle United star has been in fine form this season, with the former Man United playmaker full of praise for the Italian international.

It was revealed on Wednesday that Tonali signed a secret new contract during his ban for gambling offences which runs until at least 2029, with the option of another 12 months. It's a huge boost for Newcastle, with the player admired far and wide after a stellar 12 months since he returned from suspension.
