Marcus Rashford left Manchester United this summer on a season-long loan to join Barcelona – and the Catalans reportedly have a €30m option to buy him permanently at the end of the campaign.

The Englishman rose through the ranks at Old Trafford and was once considered one of the club’s most important players.

However, Ruben Amorim’s arrival last November brought about a significant change in the player’s situation at the Theatre of Dreams.

The 27 year old fell out of favour under the Portuguese head coach and was initially sent out on loan to Aston Villa in January. It soon became clear that Rashford had no way back under Amorim, and he subsequently moved to Camp Nou on a temporary deal this summer.

Turning over a new leaf in Spain

Rashford has rediscovered his form since the move, having registered five goals and six assists from 12 appearances across competitions for the LaLiga champions.

The Englishman was on song against Olympiacos in midweek in the Champions League, scoring twice to help Barcelona cruise to a 6-1 victory.
