Liverpool have offered some welcome news regarding Ryan Gravenberch's ankle injury, with manager Arne Slot easing concerns over the midfielder's fitness. Gravenberch was substituted just after the hour mark during Sunday's disappointing 2-1 Premier League home defeat to Manchester United, having twisted his ankle in a challenge with Casemiro.

The Netherlands international underwent medical examinations the day after to determine the severity of the injury and was omitted from the Reds' travelling party that departed on Tuesday afternoon for Wednesday's Champions League encounter at Eintracht Frankfurt. However, Slot anticipates Gravenberch won't face an extended spell on the sidelines and hasn't dismissed the possibility of his inclusion for Saturday evening's Premier League fixture at Brentford.

"Ryan is not available for the Frankfurt game, hopefully he will be available at the weekend," the Liverpool head coach said. "But it's an ankle injury, we have to wait and see, give him a bit of time and see where he is when we come back from Frankfurt.
