Liverpool’s first team may have had trouble keeping out opponents this season. But the solid start by the under-19s in their UEFA Youth League campaign has been fashioned on clean sheets.

Successive shutouts in a goalless opener at home to Atletico Madrid and a 2-0 win at Galatasaray last time out have ensured a solid start to the competition for a side helmed by U21s coach Rob Page with U18s boss Simon Wiles as assistant.

The Reds take on Eintracht Frankfurt at the Sportpark Dreieich this afternoon (kick-off 1pm) at the halfway point of their opening league phase.
