Liverpool have been handed an injury boost with Arne Slot allaying fears over Ryan Gravenberch’s twisted ankle. Gravenberch was forced off shortly after the hour of Sunday’s 2-1 Premier League defeat at home to Manchester United after twisting his ankle when challenging visiting midfielder Casemiro.

The Holland international underwent tests the following day to ascertain the extent of the damage and was absent from the Reds squad that flew out on Tuesday afternoon for the Champions League clash at Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday.

But Slot doesn’t expect Gravenberch to be sidelined for a significant period of time and has refused to rule him out of Saturday evening's Premier League trip to Brentford.
