Jamie Carragher has called on Arne Slot to drop Mohamed Salah for Liverpool’s next two games. The Reds’ poor form continued on Sunday afternoon when they were beaten 2-1 by Manchester United at Anfield.

Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring after just 63 seconds before Cody Gakpo drew the Reds level when he scored from close-range 12 minutes from time. But Harry Maguire secured United a first win at Anfield since 2016 when he headed home a Bruno Fernandes ball into the box six minutes from time.

And Salah was once again wasteful in front of goal, missing two big chances. It is also now seven Premier League games without a non-penalty goal for the forward, his longest such run since moving to Anfield.
