Roy Keane has dismissed the idea that Manchester United are back on track following their impressive 2-1 victory over Liverpool on Sunday.

United, thanks to goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire, secured their first win at Anfield since January 2016 under Louis van Gaal. The triumph also marked the first time Ruben Amorim's side have secured consecutive Premier League victories, having defeated Sunderland before the international break.

The Old Trafford outfit will be hoping this long-awaited victory over their arch-rivals sparks a resurgence under Amorim, who has been under immense scrutiny this season. The win propels them to ninth in the league, just two points shy of fourth-placed Liverpool, who have now lost four games in a row.

However, former United captain Keane has cautioned against jumping to conclusions about his former team's resurgence. United's next match is against Brighton and Hove Albion, who have a good record at Old Trafford.
