Milos Kerkez believes the recent international break could work in Liverpool's favour as they look to drag their season back on track on Sunday. The Reds host bitter North West rivals Manchester United in the Premier League hoping to arrest a run of three consecutive defeats that has seen the champions bumped off the top of the table.

A number of Liverpool players impressed for their respective countries over the past fortnight, including Cody Gakpo scoring three times for Holland, Alexis Mac Allister notching twice for Argentina and Mohamed Salah bagging a brace to seal Egypt's qualification for the World Cup.

And Kerkez, who featured twice for Hungary in their recent World Cup qualifiers, is confident of the mood in the squad.
