Rangers have extended Callum Burnside's contract until the 2026/27 season.

There is also an option for a further year.

The midfielder is currently on loan at third-tier side Alloa Athletic.

A Northern Ireland under-19 international, he racked up seven goal contributions in as many games for Rangers' under-19s before making a temporary switch to Scottish League One.

Speaking to Rangers' official website, Burnside said: "I’m absolutely thrilled to have extended my contract at the club.

"It’s a proud day for me and my family, and I’m grateful to the club for the faith they’ve shown in me.

"As a boyhood fan it is a privilege every single day to pull on the jersey, and although I know there’s still a lot of hard work ahead, I’m ready to give everything to keep improving and make the most of this opportunity."
