Rangers return to action in the Scottish Premiership with a home clash against Dundee United on Saturday.

Russell Matin was sacked following Rangers’ 1-1 draw with Falkirk before the international break.

As a result, Steven Smith will take charge of Rangers for the Dundee United match as the Bears look to rise up the table.

Whilst Kevin Muscat is the favourite to become the new Rangers manager, Smith will be the one picking the lineup on Saturday.

In the match against Farkirk, the main concern was Nasser Djiga starting alongside John Souttar at centre-back.

Whilst Derek Cornelius was excellent against Falkirk at left-back, he will likely be moved back into the heart of the defence as Jayden Meghoma returns.

As a result, Djiga is expected to drop out of the team after playing a string of dreadful performances since his move to Rangers in the summer.

Mohamed Diomande could also come in for Joe Rothwell, having been a huge part of Martin’s team at the start of this season.

The final change could be Oliver Antman’s inclusion in the starting lineup, despite Mikey Moore starting the majority of games.
