Town have not lost at Rotherham since 2001, earning their third and most recent victory away to the Millers with a 4-0 thrashing in League One in October 2013.

They were eliminated at home by Manchester City on their only appearance beyond the FA Cup second round in the past 13 seasons, while Ripley has one win in his past six matches in the competition for former clubs Port Vale and Morecambe.

The 32-year-old has been ever-present during Swindon's impressive start in the league, including clean sheets in their wins at home to Bromley and away to Newport County before their scheduled visit from Notts County last Saturday was called off because of international call-ups.

"There were a few on sunshine breaks and a few, like me, who've got kids who are swinging off your neck," said Ripley.

"I had a bit of time at home and got to see my children. It was a nice, relaxing time.

"I haven't got that many highs in the FA Cup. It is incredible, such an iconic competition.

"It's a great draw for us against a team in the league above."
