Rotherham United are back in League action on Tuesday night when Burton Albion are the visitors to the New York Stadium. Cleveland’s Ross Joyce has the whistle for this game.
Ross has been refereeing since the age of fifteen when he began in the middle in Cleveland for a junior game and in 2007 he began refereeing in the Blue Square Premier League. The beginning of the 2013/14 season saw him in charge of games in the Football Conference before being appointed to the Football League in August 2015.
Three times last season Ross was in the middle for Millers games the last in April at the Toughsheet Community Stadium when an 11th minute goal from Sam Nombe gave the Millers all 3 points. The only yellow of the game went to Bolton’s ‘keeper. January saw him at the New York Stadium when Cambridge United took the lead just minutes into the second half. But goals from Mallik Wilks and Hakeem Odoffin saw the Millers get the win. Of the three yellow cards that evening Louie Sibley was the only Rotherham player to get one.
