An official club announcement on Tuesday has revealed a new training base for Newcastle United Women.

The official release (see below) stating that the NUFC Women’s set-up will have their own designated base, as part of the Newcastle University Cochrane Park sports facility.

As well as the senior Newcastle United Women’s team training there, it will be the home of our Women’s Under-21s and Under-16s sides.

Always good to see progress at Newcastle United in any area.

However, Newcastle United fans still waiting on much delayed plans on what is intended for the new much larger capacity stadium to replace St James’ Park, as well as where the site will be for a brand new state of the art training complex for the men’s team.

Newcastle United Women have secured a new training base as part of Newcastle University’s Cochrane Park sports facility, bringing the women’s team closer geographically to the men’s and academy’s current training facilities.
