Olivia Smith praised our supporters for helping us get over the line in our 1-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

We took an early lead through an own goal, forced by a low, driven cross from Olivia, who felt that our supporters were key for helping us go on to secure the points.

“It’s always fun to play at the Emirates. The fans definitely brought such a great atmosphere to play in, so it was great.

“I think that was really important for us also with the clean sheet and I think a big thing to take away is that we were in great opportunity. We had great opportunities to finish, yeah next game hopefully.”

After a run of four games without a victory, Olivia felt that there was a sense of relief in the squad with a return to winning ways.
