Thomas Tuchel has praised Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers for his humility, physicality and end product after another impressive performance for England.

Rogers, aged 23, shone again in Thursday’s win over Wales at Wembley, showing the kind of performance that earned him the Premier League young player of the season award following a breakthrough year at Villa Park.

The playmaker has been at the heart of things in Tuchel's best two games as boss and that is keeping him above Jude Bellingham and former Man City youth teammates Phil Foden and Cole Palmer in the pecking order at number 10.

Tuchel said: "Morgan was excellent like the whole team, he's very humble, he's very physical. He has the ability to score and to assist

"He had a fantastic season (in 2024-25) and was deservedly voted as the young player of the season in the Premier League.

"Morgan was one piece of the puzzle but it is a team effort."
