It's 15 years to the day since the Royal Bank of Scotland obtained a court order that prevented Tom Hicks and George Gillett from reconfiguring the Liverpool FC board. The detested American owners were terrified of losing the club they had driven to the brink of administration for a fraction of its true value and wanted to change the individuals on the board to stave off a £300m sale to New England Sports Ventures.

A decade-and-a-half on from one the most tumultuous week's in the club's off-field history, Liverpool's ownership situation looks far more serene and prosaic. Fenway Sports Group will next week celebrate their 15th anniversary as custodians of Anfield and if their growth of the club is to be measured in five-year chunks, it bodes well for how the landscape may look in October 2030.
