Liverpool currently have a stacked midfield who are ready to take the world by storm this season.

The Reds have added to their already incredible Premier League title-winning squad from last season, with £400 million spent on some of the world’s best players.

One of the key reasons for the success of Arne Slot’s debut season on Merseyside was the midfield he had inherited from Jurgen Klopp, who left in 2024.

Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch, and Alexis Mac Allister became a midfield trio to be reckoned with, and how they were utilised in Slot’s winning season was clever management from the Dutchman.

Now this trio has been slightly adapted to add in new German No. 10 Florian Wirtz, who joined Liverpool for £116 million in the summer to much fanfare for his work with Bayer Leverkusen.

While he has not hit the ground running as yet in the league, the 22-year-old has still shown glimpses of the incredible player to come with some of his movement and play.

It will be hard for him to become used to the physicality of the league so quickly, but Wirtz seems to be starting to find his feet more.
