For now, though, if you want a quick snapshot of how this club gaslights its own fans, just look at the latest headlines: they’re briefing the media that they’re hiring a head of business operations and, at the same time, ramping up another Adidas push to flog us more gear.

The fact Celtic is only now looking for a head of business operations tells you everything about how this club is run. The board is tired of taking flak. They want a lightning rod. Whoever lands that role will have a clear job description—take the heat while the real decisions remain untouched.

It’s paper over cracks, nothing more, and the support isn’t going to be fooled by it.

But what really sticks in the throat is the endless grind of the commercial department. These people piss all over the fans and, to paraphrase Cameron’s Avatar, they don’t even have the decency to call it rain.
