Tottenham's owners, the Lewis family, have seen off the takeover interest sparked by Daniel Levy's exit as chairman.

Two groups expressed an interest in the club immediately after Levy's departure after more than 20 years, in September, followed later in the month by a third, led by former DJ Brooklyn Earick.

All three groups have now confirmed to the London Stock Exchange that they do not intend to go any further in the process having been satisfied the Lewis family do not want to sell.

Earick's US consortium generated considerable interest amid reports in The Sun of a proposed bid worth £4.5billion, with a billion set aside for investment in the squad.

Some questioned the seriousness of the bid from the start, based upon an inflated price and Earick's failed bid to buy Formula E team Maserati earlier in the year.

Two groups expressed an interest in buying Spurs after Levy departed on September 4.
