There has been a huge update on Mohammed Kudus ahead of Tottenham’s clash against Sunderland, just a day after it had emerged that the winger had returned to training.

Kudus has missed over three months of football, having been out of action with a hamstring injury since the start of the calendar year.

The Tottenham winger was expected to return to action this month, and there was a very promising update regarding the player on Wednesday.

It was revealed yesterday that Kudus had been spotted training with the Spurs squad ahead of Roberto De Zerbi’s first game in charge, but there has now been some bad news regarding the 25-year-old.

The Sun have revealed that the former West Ham star has now suffered a setback while stepping up his return from his hamstring injury.

Some sources suggest that he may even require surgery to fix the problem.

That means that the winger’s return is not expected for the foreseeable future, and the report says that there are even doubts over whether Kudus’ participation in this summer’s World Cup.
