Swedish side AIK have requested a loan because they still have not received their share of Alexander Isak’s move to Liverpool.

Fotboll STHM report comments from AIK CEO Fredrik Söderberg today. He confirmed that the club have turned to the financial association Den Svarta Massan for help.

Isak money delayed

Fotboll STHM explain that Den Svarta Massan is a financial association where AIK supporters can support their club by buying shares.

The association has sponsored and lent money to the Swedish club for various reasons since 2012aid any financial difficulties. It lent AIK five million kronor in 2025, the last time they did so.

Now AIK have asked again, with financial difficulties forcing their hand. AIK want to borrow 10 million kronor, as FIFA have not paid out their part of Alexander Isak’s move to Liverpool last summer.

AIK are owed 33 million kronor from that deal, around £2.64m, due to FIFA’s Solidarity Scheme. But FIFA have delayed the payment after changing the rules in the payment system.
