Tottenham Hotspur are currently battling to avoid relegation from the Premier League, with the team currently sitting just one point above the relegation zone with seven games remaining, but new boss Roberto De Zerbi is confident he can keep them in the division.

Even though the Italian was initially having reservations about taking the Spurs job in the midst of a relegation dogfight, CEO Vinai Venkatesham and Sporting Director Johan Lange were able to convince him to take the gig immediately and with a futuristic approach. Staying in the top flight is the only objective of Roberto De Zerbi at this moment. But, he needs a strong backroom staff to help him fulfil that objective at White Hart Lane.

The 46-year-old was understood to have reached out to Alessandro Nesta last week to become a part of his coaching staff at Tottenham. However, recent reports suggest the AC Milan great will not join the North London club. Nonetheless, there has finally been a development regarding De Zerbi’s backroom staff.
