Chelsea are reportedly ready to join the race for the transfer of Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall to replace Marc Cucurella this summer.

Hall was previously in Chelsea’s academy but managed only 12 first-team appearances before leaving to join Newcastle, where he’s improved a great deal.

According to Fichajes, the Blues are now keen to bring Hall back to the club in a potential £70m deal, with the England international being targeted to replace Cucurella.

The report states that Cucurella could leave Stamford Bridge, and this perhaps makes sense after he recently signalled he was unsettled with this current CFC project.
