Tonda Eckert's charges made light work of their Welsh opponents, who started the evening ahead of them, with five different scorers making their mark.

This was another statement victory for a Saints side now unbeaten in 16 games and arrived just days after they knocked Arsenal out of the FA Cup.

Here's how we rated every Southampton player's performance at the Racecourse Ground on Tuesday evening...

Daniel Peretz - 7.

Had little to do all night, but handled his business when called upon. Came out to handle crosses and never gave Wrexham a sniff on the rebound. Will be very frustrated that he did not keep a clean sheet.

James Bree - 7.

Kept Wrexham's danger man, Nathan Broadhead, very quiet down the left, limiting the number of crosses the hosts could make. Got up and down the right to knock crosses into Southampton's big men up front.
