Arne Slot says Liverpool expect to be without Alisson Becker until 'towards the end of the season' as the Brazilian goalkeeper recovers from another injury.

Alisson missed the recent Champions League trip to Galatasaray with a problem he picked up in training, only to return to the Reds goal for the Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur and the Galatasaray second leg.

However, he pulled out of the squad again on the eve of the Premier League trip to Brighton prior to the international break, and is now out of both the forthcoming matches against Manchester City in the FA Cup and Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

Speaking at his press conference prior to the City clash, Reds boss Slot ruled him out of the game, and said: "He will not be part of the PSG game either, (he is) out for a bit longer. Towards the end of the season we expect him to be fit."
