Newcastle United are said to be among several clubs monitoring Diego Aguado's situation at Real Madrid, with the defender one of several youngsters tipped to leave the Bernabeu this summer.

Aguado, 19, has featured twice in the Madrid first-team, making his La Liga debut this season after being handed his debut in the Copa del Rey by former boss Carlo Ancelotti in 2025.

German side Borussia Dortmund have already seen a €6m bid turned down for the defender, who has represented Spain from U17 to U20 levels.

Aguado is a left-sided defender who can play both at left-back and centre-back, and with United looking to bolster their options at the back, he could be seen as a long-term replacement for Dan Burn in the Newcastle squad.
