Daniel Farke says Dominic Calvert-Lewin will give himself the best chance of making the England World Cup squad if he revives his scoring form for Leeds United.

Calvert-Lewin earned his first Three Lions cap in nearly five years when coming on in the second half against Uruguay in last week's friendly. The 28-year-old, who has not scored in six Premier League games and just once in 10, missed a free header during his 35-minute outing.

The striker was one of the batch of players who left camp ahead of the defeat to Japan, although this was already pre-planned. He is a doubt for Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final against West Ham United having picked up a hamstring complaint in Leeds training this week.

The attacker has had a precautionary scan but the issue is thought to be minor. Regardless of when he plays next, Farke says Calvert-Lewin should channel his World Cup squad motivation into helping Leeds stay in the Premier League.
