Karl Darlow may not know what waits for him beyond this summer, but if recent years have taught the Leeds United goalkeeper anything, it is to be prepared for all eventualities.

Signed in the summer of 2023 after leaving Newcastle United behind following nine years at the club, the now 35-year-old finds himself currently the number one goalkeeper for his club in the Premier League and the number one for his country, Wales.

The autumn of his career is certainly proving to be a fruitful one, with a gamble of sorts paying off. Eager to play some games, Darlow went out on loan in January 2023 to Hull City, with that loan move paving the way for a deal a few months later at Leeds.
