Lucas Andersen has found his first club since Queens Park Rangers and completed a move to BG Pathum United FC.

The attacking midfielder had been without a club since QPR released him at the end of last season.

He joined the Championship side in February 2024, after terminating his contract with AaB Fodbold. The move saw him reunite with manager Martí Cifuentes, who previously coached him at the Danish club.

Andersen played 2,126 minutes from 51 matches in all competitions for QPR and scored three goals and contributed four assists. This includes 33 appearances last season.

Cifuentes left the club last year when QPR decided to not extend the 29-year-old stay. He failed to find a new club last summer and in October, Sport Witness covered claims from Denmark of multiple sides making offers.

There were suggestions he could end his playing career but on March 6th, he isn’t he hasn’t retired.
