Closing out the series here, I’ll be talking you through who I think needs to be fired or invested in at the business end of the pitch.

This is a unit that has been extremely positive in places this season for Queens Park Rangers. The R’s sit eighth in the league in goals scored with 55. All seven teams ahead of Rangers in goals scored are in the top eight; Millwall, who are fourth, have scored two less.

Let’s get stuck in.

Koki Saito—Keep: Solid rather than spectacular if I’m being straight with you. Three goals and two assists from 26 appearances is fine, but for someone with his technical ability, you do want a bit more end product. The intelligence and adaptability are genuinely there, and he gives the manager options, which counts for something.

We made the move permanent last summer, so there’s a commitment already made. He stays, works on his consistency, and hopefully kicks on. But he needs a significantly better campaign next year; it’s too early to give up for me, but I could see why fans would be calling for a sale if the price is right.
