Lewis Dobbin has revealed that his long-term goal remains to play for Aston Villa, nearly two years after joining the club.

The 23-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at Preston North End and has found his footing in the Championship this season, scoring seven goals and registering six assists under Paul Heckingbottom.

Last season, Dobbin struggled at West Brom in the first half of the campaign before being recalled and sent to Norwich City for the second half. He scored two goals in his first 10 games for the Canaries but then missed the remainder of the season due to injury.

Dobbin’s future appears uncertain, but after joining Villa from Everton in the summer of 2024 - with Tim Iroegbunam moving the other way in a separate deal - the forward has expressed his desire to play under Unai Emery.
