Good Friday morning Caps fans. Hope you all had a lovely weekend and that your week ahead is a good one. The good news? April and spring are almost upon us.
The international break marches on, with Sebastian Berhalter and Ralph Priso coming off the bench for their respective countries on Saturday. Rayan Elloumi also started for Tunisia in their friendly over the weekend as well.
Aside from that, we are definitely in a dead period in the Caps world.
That obscures the fact, however, that we are about to dive back into an important period for the team. We mentioned the injuries on Friday, which complicate things currently. But April is the last of Vancouver’s cushy start to the season, which has seen them largely playing at home.
This is, of course, to balance out their World Cup-induced exile later in the season. While the schedule sucks, it is a fact of life for the teams playing in stadiums hosting the tournament and a small price to pay at that.
