Igor Tudor has got a big reality check after seeing his Tottenham Hotspur side getting dismantled by Arsenal, Fulham and Crystal Palace in three consecutive London derbies.

The result against Crystal Palace on Thursday left Spurs now only within a point from the relegation zone. Dropping to the Championship is now a real possibility, with Spurs in a disastrous run of 11 Premier League games without a victory. Relegation would see some Spurs players have their wages cut, amongst other problems, although Igor Tudor remains confident that the club will manage to maintain its top-flight status by the end of the season.

Tudor was brought in on a contract until the end of the season and was given one objective: keep Tottenham in the Premier League. But in his short tenure at the helm, the Croatian tactician has proven that he isn’t suitable for the role.

Former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer has put Tottenham’s probable relegation into perspective. The English pundit thinks Spurs going down would be one of the biggest shocks in the Premier League, comparing their current situation with Leicester City’s miraculous title-winning campaign.
