Newcastle United are determined not to sell Anthony Gordon despite interest from Liverpool, according to talkSPORT.

There are reports that Liverpool are preparing a €90m bid this summer.

The 25-year-old winger nearly joined the Reds two years ago, but the move fell through.

Newcastle needed to sell to comply with PSR regulations, but they offloaded Yankuba Minteh and Elliot Anderson instead, which allowed them to keep Gordon.

Gordon has been in great form this season, particularly in the Champions League. He has scored 10 goals, with four of them coming in the first leg of the play-off tie against FK Qarabag.

He has scored seven goals in his last 12 games, which has reignited Liverpool’s interest, and drawn the attention of other clubs.

This run of form has been especially good over his last three games, when he has played as a striker. He has outperformed his seasonal averages in goals per match (1.33 vs seasonal average of 0.37), shots per match (3.00 vs seasonal average of 1.95) and xG (1.13 vs seasonal average of 0.46), according to WhoScored.
